This documentary project was my first foray into professional video work. Our class was divided into groups and placed with a local news organization that we would produce a short documentary for. Once our subject was selected, I began to research who she is and what she has accomplished over her life in order to craft a narrative that we could build through interviews, archival content, and newly captured footage. The production process was, admittedly, a little difficult at times, with several reshoots and a few technical errors. However, these struggles taught me important lessons about how to stay organized, prepared, and professional.
