Marist University Club Television

Overview

During my time at college, I became heavily involved in the television club MCTV. I served many roles throughout my time on the board, but one of them was being the Public Relations Representative for the club. My responsibilities included managing the social media accounts for the club and advertising club activities in person as well, through flyers and other promotional materials. The videos shown below are a collection of several different types of videos I made for social media (Instagram and cross-posted on TikTok) that promoted events, showcased general members, and reflected on fond memories from the club. Keeping in mind that the target audience of the club is other college kids, I tried to keep a lighthearted and fun tone throughout all of the content that I made, as seen in the dance challenge videos and silly interviews. My content was shared by many club members on their stories and through DMs, leading to an increase in viewership of our shows by over 50%, and boosting attendance at our club events as well. Though I still had a lot to learn about polishing content to the fullest extent, my time as PR Representative for MCTV taught me how to brainstorm fresh ideas and use social media as a tool to draw attention to something you want to promote.
